When 140 Characters Isn't Enough
FREE UN-MODERATED Network. Compose your opinion as a blog, then copy & paste address into a twitter update.
I just received an email from an ex-member...a member who joined True Conservatives on Twitter but never used it for anything. They didn't befriend any other member...they didn't post a blog, a comment, a picture, a song, a video & never shared a thing on twitter. In fact it took them two months to even realize they were no longer a member. Yet even though they never used the opportunities available, they think they have lost something. So I will make my position very clear. From the beginning, I created this ning account so that I could write long comments & then post the link to the comment on twitter. I made the account completely open to everyone and all to join and to share. Because the account is open, links can be shared with anyone on the internet.
Then NING changed their terms of service and required all accounts become paying accounts. However, I still believe that conservatives need a place to post long articles (blogs) for twitter and to that end, I ALLOW others to join and take advantage of that opportunity. However, when someone joins the group and doesn't use the opportunities I pay for, I feel they have no need and will cancel their membership without warning. I pay for 150 members. I will not upgrade the account so don't ask. As membership becomes tighter and tighter, I will be looking at actual blog activity by members to decide who is actually contributing to the site to determine who goes and who stays. So be sure to add a blog of your own occasionally and you won't have any problems.
This NEW ning Network has some restrictions and rules that were not a part of the old network. The Gift Shop & Gifts Received Icon are a part of the ning social network site. We have no control over it and do not recommend or even suggest that you visit the Gift Store. Like the Google advertising in the right hand column, it is just something we have to put up with for a cheaper site.
The practice of the 'pickup'. Where school districts pay some, if not all, of the teachers' pension contributions. The practice could leave Illinois educators, students & taxpayer high and dry.
Pension pickups have destroyed spending accountability in Illinois, put teacher retirements at serious risk & left Illinois taxpayer with a massive tax increase. The Illinois Policy Institute said in a report entitled "Playing Favorites".

Quoting the Pointer Sisters song, “I'm so excited!” Black pop icon Snoop Dogg's comments about the remake of the “Roots” TV series, in essence, is what I have been preaching to fellow blacks for decades (without his profanity).
Snoop said, “I'm sick of this s---. They are going to just keep beating that s--- into our heads about how they did us, huh?” Snoop spoke against new shows and movies…

Folks, I got angry the other day. Mary and I were on the road most of this year campaigning for Ted Cruz. We're back home in Florida. My grass is over a foot tall, neighbors are still polite, and my lawnmower won't start. I dropped off the lawnmower for Darrell, our mechanic, to fix. But that is not what made me angry.…

A few Memorial Days ago, I recall myself comfy on the sofa overstuffed with cookout delights, watching a documentary on TV about conscientious objectors. The program portrayed these guys as moral superiors. I thought, “You guys are able to bloviate about the evils of war and pursue careers as American artists, college…

Heidi Cruz & Lloyd Marcus in Anderson IN
Don't you just hate early-morning phone calls from family? Our Conservative Campaign Committee team is in Indiana, campaigning for Ted Cruz. When I returned to our hotel room after picking up breakfast for my wife Mary, she said my dad called my phone two times. He is 87 and still preaches the second Sunday of every month. Upon returning his call, Dad wanted me to send him lyrics to a song I used to sing. He wanted to…Continue
