White House releases Obama birth certificate By Rachel Rose Hartman
The White House on Wednesday morning released the president's long form birth certificate (pdf) in an attempt to put "birther" questions to rest.

"The President believed the distraction over his birth certificate wasn't good for the country. It may have been good politics and good T.V., but it was bad for the American people and distracting from the many challenges we face as a country," White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer said in a statement.

The president had released his certificate of live birth in 2008, but many "birthers" said the absence of a long form birth certificate prompted questions about Obama's birthplace of Hawaii. In recent weeks potential GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump has brought birther questions into the forefront of the media.

I really wish that this would answer all the questions but it only adds fuel to the fire and of course, now, we all question everything obama does.  I'm also very concerned that Trump may be the Perot of the 21st Century.  And the release of the BC now may have been similiar to Perot backing out as soon as it looked like he could win.  I hope I'm wrong  but I have been looking into Trump's political history and he has supported Democrats much more than Republicans for years.  And even when he did give contributions to a Republican, they were more token contributions than serious support.  I would like to believe that Trump has seen the light just like so many thought that Scot Brown had but that would be foolish of us to do.  If Trump is serious about this country, it is only because the economy is negatively affecting his money making.  But if Trump is a trojan horse, consider that obama releasing his birth certificate at this time could only be viewed as a win for both of them.
